Reporting Line: Procurement Manager Location: Dar es Salam Office. Work Schedule: Residential




ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-


Liaise with sites and acts on their requirements by; facilitate discussions to establish FPA requirements issue RFP's (Request for Proposal) to suppliers/the market; evaluating tenders based on certain guidelines; Providing recommendations to sites based on the outcome of the tender evaluations. Negotiate and agree on contract terms Perform tender analysis and considers all aspects of TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) Model when awarding contracts with the purpose of reducing cost per ounce, and or improving effectiveness and efficiency of production. Complete Forward Pricing Agreement (FPA) or Supplier Terms of Reference (STaR) after site approval. Create an understanding of strategic commodities by gathering market, trend and price information from key suppliers and other sources. Documents the process supporting contracting activities at a site, regional and global level, in line with the Supply Chain strategy Obtains the signed contract documents related to each FPA agreement that is in place, and makes electronic copies on the said agreements. Stores and updates the global contracts register Assist with the purchases of goods and services such as computer equipment and consumables for the sites Assists sites with the sourcing of suppliers and purchasing Maintains global relationship with corporate and global suppliers Responsible for timely updates of price increase on company's ERP system Use discretion in applying practices and procedures to resolve issues, demonstration a broad and thorough understanding and application of technical and/or specialized concepts and knowledge in the business. Interface with manufacturing teams and/or suppliers to ensure rationalization potential, optimize productivity, and to meet safety requirements, taking operational effects into account. Keeps abreast of new developments in supplier products and initiatives Market intelligence

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:-

Education Requirements: Relevant degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management Metallurgical Qualifications and experience will be beneficial ERP System knowledge (preferable Pronto) Experience & Skills Requirements: Previous experience preferably in Mining would be an asset Analytical Skills Strong commercial acumen High level of interpersonal skills Performance oriented Proven high ethical standards These positions will attract a competitive salary package, which will include excellent benefits.
