Position Description:

 Minimum Requirements
 Experience:
Must have business television broadcasting experience
Must display knowledge of  Tanzania markets, economy and current business news
Must have Presenter experience
4 - 7 years in a similar role

Qualification:
Journalism and/or media qualification preferred
Financial qualifications advantageous

Job Description: Business News Reporter Tanzania
 The role of the Reporter is to develop, monitor and implement all aspects of the business in the region.

The principal responsibilities are to:
 Present one or more daily live news shows, as well as various ‘magazine’ format shows to be broadcast throughout the week as assigned.
  • Present the show either in studio, on location or a combination of both involving script reading, interviewing and package production.
  • Foster business relationships with the financial community in-country.
  • Discuss and implement new programs and formats with Chief Editor.
  • Assist in production of shows and contribute to all aspects of preparation including writing the copy, booking guests, editing video monitor wires/TV broadcasts and compile information for graphics etc.
  • Read the news as produced by the team, when required and conduct interviews (in person or by phone) live and ‘to tape’.
  • Act as Producer, as directed, for the weekly ‘magazine’ shows: work with the rest of the team to produce shows of the highest standards and in accordance with the channel’s style and broadcast guidelines.
  • Be an active participant in the production of news show.
  • Be familiar with the latest events and business news in the region and the world.
  • Participate in corporate events as required by the company from time to time.
  • Carry out any other responsibility as directed by the Chief Editor.
  • Be familiar with the latest happenings and business news in the region and the world.
  • Assist with anchor/presenting of programs and “voice over’s” when the need arises.
  • Present on video wall or other graphics aid as required from time to time.
