The Benjamin William Mkapa HIV/AIDS Foundation (BMAF) is a Trust and not for profit organization with a vision to be a hub of innovation in quality health services delivery in Tanzania. Its strategic focus areas is to strengthen prevention, care & treatment of HIV/AIDS; Maternal New Born health; Human Resource for Health and build its institutional capacity for technical leadership and sustainability.
To implement its 5 years Strategic Plan (2013 – 2018), BMAF seeks for a committed, self-driven, dynamic and competent qualified candidates to fill the vacancies below:-
Finance Manager
1 year contract (renewable)
The main role is to manage the finances of the Foundation by ensuring adherence to the set rules and regulations of the BMAF and in accordance to the signed agreements with the donors. He/she will have direct responsibility for accounting, finance forecasting and budgeting, generating financial reports and managed all finance related activities.
The Manager will report to the Director of Finance and Grants, and he/she will supervise at least two accountants. A successful applicant should hold an accountancy degree and a qualification in CPA/ACCA; have the confidence and ability to liaise effectively between both finance and non-finance team members, securing lasting and positive relationships. He/she should have strong experience of working within an NGO sector with donor-funded projects and having an experience in using automated Integrated Financial Management System is an added advantage.

Public Relations and Communications Officer
(1 Year Contract- renewable)
This role calls for a professional with a strong communication and Public relations experience. She/he will implement, coordinate and monitor the communication and business development strategies of BMAF. In addition he/she will support internal and external communication and Public relations activities including media relations so as to achieve the BMAF set objectives.
The Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Head of Business Development and will work closely with the Policy and Advocacy Unit of the Foundation.
A successful applicant should hold a degree in Communications or related field and should have at least 4 years working experience on health related matters. He/she should.be a self -initiator, creative, with strength in oral and written communication, easy to interact with people and having good network with media outlets.

Programme Manager – Investment
1.5 Years Contract on part time basis (renewable)
This position is responsible for coordinating and implementing all aspects of the BMAF Centre project. He/she will ensure goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within prescribed time frames particularly in assuring legal entitlements of land are obtained, facilitate Architectural designing, development of business and financial plan, oversight in taking off of the construction and its completion.
The candidate will be required to have Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Property management, Architecture and/or related fields. A minimum of 5 years high- level experience or background in housing development planning, business or real estate financing and/or construction management is required.

Programme Manager - Health Infrastructure (Re-advertised)
(2 Years Contract)
The Programme will have an overall responsibility of planning, coordinating and monitoring rehabilitation and construction of health infrastructure in the designated regions and District Councils. This includes preparing and issuing quality project implementation progress reports to the Management Team and donors.
The Manager will work under the Directorate of HR and Administration and will directly supervise Programme Officer (s).The ideal candidate should have a background in Building Economics, Architect, Quantity Survey and/or Civil Engineering.He/she should have experience on supervising Consultants and/or Contractors work, and familiar with the rural settings of Tanzania.
She/he should have tactical communication skills and ability to use discretion and judgment, and also have a high level of creativity and innovations, particularly focusing on new and better ways to work. The work requires travelling at least 40% of the working period.

Programme Officer – Service Delivery
(6 months contract, renewal on availability of additional funding)
The incumbent will assist the Programme Manager in Health Service Delivery and ensure implementation of the Mkapa Fellows Programme II and all other Projects focused on improving HIV/AIDS, Maternal Newborn and Child Health and other health conditions.
The ideal candidate should have a first degree plus professional qualification in Medicine, Nursing, Human Psychology or a closely related field. He/she should have at least 3 years experience in public health and managing health programmes.

Programme Officer- Mkapa Health Initiative
(1 Year contract, on part time basis)
The main role of this candidate is to oversee and coordinate the Mkapa Health Initiative Conference which aims to bring together a unique gathering of various stakeholders (from global arena and in-country) to discuss and deliberate on Health development and beyond through a multi-sectoral approach to attain the goals of Universal Health Access and Post 2015 MDG.
The candidate should have an experience of managing and coordination high level conferences, be creative, with good networking across various players and ability to lead teams.
