According to unconfirmed reports this morning, a passenger plane belonging to a Malaysian carrier is believed to have crashed, possibly killing the 239 travelers and crew aboard after disappearing from radar

It is believed that a Malaysian Boeing 777 may have crashed this morning on its way to Beijing as it flew over the waters near Vietnam after it lost contact with radar controllers. The plane was carrying 239 passengers and its 12 member flight crew.
A large contingent of ground and sea teams from Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore initiated a search and rescue operation in hopes of locating the plane. The search efforts are reported to be focused along the coast of Vietnam. Malaysia has said that it has sent a force of four ships and three helicopters to the area in which the pilots lost radio contact to help in the search effort. So far, a crash site has not been located and no debris has been reported found.
Authorities first began to suspect that something could have happened to Malaysia Airlines flight number 370 as it flew from Kuala Lumpur after it failed to reach contact with air traffic controllers in the Vietnamese area of Ho Chi Minh City.
The family members of those on board the plane have come to the airport in Kuala Lumpur, asking to be updated by the airline as they receive new information
