A manhunt has been launched for this man after a female police officer was shot and injured while on duty early this morning.
Two uniformed officers attended a routine call of a disturbance and were confronted by a man at the address who fired upon them.
One female officer received serious but non life-threatening injuries and is being treated in hospital after the shooting in Hyde Park, Leeds.
Her male colleague was not injured in the incident, which happened shortly after 4 am today in Cardigan Road.
Police are urgently trying to trace James Leslie, aged 37, of Cardigan Road.
Assistant Chief Constable Geoff Dodd said: "West Yorkshire Police are appealing to Mr Leslie to hand himself in as soon as possible.
"The Police are actively seeking Mr Leslie and the public should be reassured that every effort is being made to safely locate him.
"Additional patrols will be seen in the area.
"The public should not approach Mr Leslie but ring 999, if they see him or know where he may be.
