1.0. ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT II( 3 POSITIONS )

1.1. Reports to: Head of Accounts Department
1.2. Duties and Responsibilities
· To assist in the preparation of various financial statements.
· To assume responsibility for a variety of accounting duties such as payment of salaries and to keep vote
accounts, cheques etc.


· To examine invoices, bills and other claims before prepayment.
· To prepare payment vouchers and cheques and post them in vote books.
· To prepare credit and loss accounts.
· To prepare bank reconciliation statement on monthly basis
To carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time.
1.3 Required Qualifications
· Holder of NBAA Intermediate Stage, Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Advanced Diploma in Accounting, or
equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
· Must be Computer literate

2.0 SUPPLIES ASSISTANT II ( 1 POSITION)

2.1 Reports to: Head of Unit
2.2 Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist in receiving Stock items in the storehouse.
· Assist in updating the Bin Cards and Electronic ledger records.
· Assist in the issuing goods to approve users.
· Assist in the stock checking exercise and stock reconciliation.
· Assist in supervision of general cleaning of the storehouse.
· Assist in the stock replenishment.
· Assist in the preparation of any periodic reports
· To carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time by the store house in charge.
2.3 Required Qualifications
· Holder of a two years Diploma in Procurement and Supply Management from a recognized institution.
· Should be registered by the Board of PSPTB
· Age limit not above 27 years
· Work experience of not more than two years.
· Must be computer literate

3.0 NURSE II (5 POSITIONS)

3.1 Reports to: Ward/Unit In-charge
3.2 Duties and Responsibilities
· General Quality nursing care to patients
· Supervision of ward cleanliness.
· Administration of drugs.
· Execute Quality Assurance Programmes
· To keep and maintain patients records and statistics.
· To assist in training staff
· To participate in health education programmes
· Carry out data processing
· Proper handling and care of supplies and equipment.
· Engage in continuous professional development
· Performs any other duties as assigned.
3.3 Required Qualifications
· Holder of Form IV certificate and Certificate in Nursing from a recognized institution.
· Must be registered and have license of practice
· Must be computer literate

4.0 ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT II ( 1 POSITION)

4.1 Reports to: Head of Accounts Unit
4.2 Duties and Responsibilities
· To receive cash deposits from customers
· To effect cash payments to customers
· To make records of all transactions and reconcile them with cash balance.
· To receive and keep in proper custody all bills, invoices and other claims pending payment;
· To carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time.
4.3 Required Qualifications
· Holder of Form IV/VI Certificate with NBAA Foundation Stage, Modules A & B, Professional Level I, or
two years Diploma in Accounting or equivalent, from a recognized institution.
· Must have an experience of not less than one year of work
· Must be able to speak English and Kiswahili fluently
· Must be Computer literate

5.0. HEALTH ATTENDANT II ( 13 POSITIONS)

5.1 Reports to: Ward In charge or Head of Department
5.2 Duties and Responsibilities:
· Cleans offices, wards, compounds or as assigned.
· To move documents from one office to another as assigned.
· To open offices and make tea for officers
· Responsible for proper use and safe keeping of tools and equipment.
· Reports problems that require attention of his/her supervisors.
· Decorates, maintains gardens, waters plants and flowers.
· Performs any other duties as assigned.
5.3 Required Qualifications
· Holder of Form IV/VI certificate with passes in English and Kiswahili subjects
· Must have attend one year or two years course of Health Attendant

6.0 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER II ( 1 POSITION)

6.1 Reports to: Head of Estate Department
6.2 Duties and Responsibilities
· To advice and ensure the best ways to distribute clean water and quality control
· To ensure proper collection disposal of clinical and non clinical waste
· To educate the community on different ways to avoid and combat eruption of diseases.
· To collect and assess statistics regarding Environment Health
· To make sure there is implementation of the by-laws on the Environment Health.
· To prepare information on the implementation and submit them to the responsible special unit.
· To conduct inspection on food, water, chemicals in the working premises.
· To inspect and advise on environmental management issues and vector control
· To perform any other duties as may be assigned by his/her supervisor
6.3 Required Qualifications
· Holder of B.Sc. Degree in Health Environment or its equivalent from a recognized institution and
registered with the Board of Health Environmental Services.
· Must have not less than two years of work experience
· Must be a Computer literate

7.0 PERSONAL SECRETARY II ( 1POSITION)

7.1 Reports to: Head of Department
7.2 Duties and Responsibilities
· To type confidential and open matters.
· To use modern machines and office equipment in discharging duties.
· To take care of all office facilities under custody.
· To answer correspondences involving routine matters.
· To check office registers to ensure that they are well maintained.
· To work with heads of sections, units and departments.
· To receive and direct visitors.
· To keep minutes/records of meetings.
· To take dictation by shorthand/Hatimkato.
· To carry out any other duties as assigned from time to time.
7.3 Required Qualifications.
· Holder of National Form IV/VI certificate who has passed a two year secretarial course at a
recognized institution
· Must have passed typing speed of 50 wpm,
· Must have passed secretarial duties and office procedure stage I,
· Must have passed tabulation and manuscript stage III,
· Must have passed shorthand speed of 80 wpm in both English and Kiswahili.
· Must have sufficient knowledge in computers in at least word processing, spreadsheets, databases, emails
and internet and have work experience of not less than two years

8.0 DHOBI II ( 5 POSITIONS)

8.1. Reports to: Block Manger
8.2. Duties and Responsibilities
· To sort out linen and wash, dry, iron and dispatch them to respective wards.
· Cleaning of laundry area.
· Proper handling and care of laundry machines and other working tools
· Engage in continuous professional development.
· Execute quality assurance programmes.
· Perform any other duties as assigned.
8.3. Required Qualifications
· Holders of Ordinary Secondary Education Certificate plus basic training in laundry with ability to use
laundry machines.
· Must have a working experience of not less than one year

9.0. ARTISAN (REFRIDGERATION) ( 1 POSITION)

9.1. Reports to: Head of Department
9.2. Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs specified craft jobs under close supervision.
· Proper handling, care and ensure maintenance of tools and equipment.
· Maintain proper records.
· Engage in continuous professional development
· Teach others
· Performs any other duties as assigned.
9.3. Required Qualifications
· Holder of Natioanl form IV certificate with Trade Test Grade I-III Certificate from recognized
institution.

10.0. SPEECH THERAPIST (2 POSITIONS)

10.1 Reports to: Head of Department
10.2.Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage patients under supervision.
· To keep and maintain patients records and statistics.
· Execute Quality Assurance Programmes
· To assist in planning and conducting research
· To assist in training staff
· To participate in health education programmes
· To Carry out data processing
· Proper handling and care of equipment, apparatus and working tools.
· Engage in continuous professional development
· Performs any other duties as assigned.
10.3. Required Qualifications
· Holder of a degree in Speech Therapy or its equivalent from a recognized Institution.
· Must have a work experience of not less than one year
· Must be computer literate

11.0 . AUDIOMETRIST ( 2 POSITIONS)

11.1. Reports to : Head of Department
11.2. Duties and Responsibilities
· Manage patients under supervision.
· Execute Quality Assurance Programmes
· To keep and maintain patients records and statistics.
· To assist in planning and conducting research
· To participate in health education programmes
· Carry out data processing
· Proper handling, care and maintenance of equipments and apparatus.
· Engage in continuous professional development
· Performs any other duties as assigned.
11.3. Required Qualifications
· Holder of a three years diploma in Audiometry from a recognized institution.
· Must have a work experience of not less than one year
· Must be computer literate

12.0. HALL JANITOR/ RECEPTIONIST (1 POSITION)

12.1. Reports to: Head of Unit
12.2. Duties and Responsibilities
· Receiving and guiding visitors;
· Keeping records of all visitors entering and leaving the administration block;
· Receiving messages and mail from visitors and forwarding them to respective offices;
· Execute Quality Assurance Programmes
· To keep and maintain records and statistics.
· To assist in training staff
· Carry out data processing
· Proper handling and care of equipment and working tools.
· Engage in continuous professional development
· Performs any other duties as assigned.
12.3. Required Qualifications
· Holder of Form VI Certificate with passes in English and Kiswahili with a certificate in Customer
Services.
· Must have a work experience of not less than one year
· Must speak English and Kiswahili fluently
· Must be a Computer literate
Salary: Salary for all positions shall be offered commensurate with the MNH Scheme of Service.
