JOB SUMMARY:
The overall responsibility for overseeing the commercial activities of RAHCO a major aspect of which is monitoring the Concession Agreement on an ongoing basis to ensure that it achieves its objectives, increasing revenue with time.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONS
• Monitor the Concession Agreement on an ongoing basis to ensure the Concession
Agreement achieves its objectives, increasing revenue with time
• Develop contingency plan in the event that the Concession Agreement fails
• Identify other commercial opportunities as they arise, assessing their feasibility and economic viability
• Develop strategic partnerships with other stakeholders to develop the railway sector, in so doing, promote the Concession Operator's business .
KEY QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Professional qualifications to Degree level or equivalent in Business, Commerce or Economics .
• Master's Degree is an added advantage
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in planning and operating the commercial aspects of Transport Business especially in Railway Industry .
• Ability to successfully negotiate with the Concession Operator to resolve disputes as they arise
• Demonstrated business acumen
• Experience with, or exposure to, the design and management of franchise or concession contracts
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of continuous improvement and best practice within the rail sector
• Experience with', or exposure to, a broad subset of railway customer base
• Age Limit: Below 50 years.
