Nigerian girl dies in Bangkok while having butt implant!

A 23 year old Nigerian girl Joy Willaims died in Bangkok on Oct 23 during a buttock augmentation surgery. Joy flew to Bangkok on Oct 14, to visit the SP clinic for £2,000 buttock augmentation surgery.

A few days later her wounds became infected and she returned to have corrective surgery to remove the silicon implants. She died in the operating table during the corrective surgery.

The deceased brother Anietie who spoke to Dailymail from his home in Lagos says the family were not aware Joy travelled to Bangkok:

“We don't really know what went wrong, we only know what is in reports in the media. She was a very nice and caring person. She brought joy to people's lives. She was a beautiful girl, loved by everybody. We will miss her so much.'
He added that the family is still making preparations to bring Miss Williams's body home and that his brother was planning to fly to Thailand and return to London with it.

The doctor who carried out the procedure, Sompob Sansiri, has been arrested. Thai officials are still investigating the cause of her death.

Miss Williams, who was born in Lagos, settled in Thamesmead with her mother Christie in 2007 and had been to Thailand twice before choosing to visit for surgery.

May her soul rest in perfect peace.
